Repairing a vehicle to the original OE standards for performance and quality can be challenging because the equipment used in new vehicle assembly isn’t typically available in a repair facility. To help overcome that challenge, our product development team has created a range of process-friendly repair products like SikaBaffle®-277 for cavity sealing. Designed to cure quickly without the need for additional processing or heating equipment.

SikaBaffle®-277 can be easily applied in the repair shop, in CKD (Completely Knocked Down) plants, or even in vehicle production, and ensures a fast, OE-quality repair.

A Fast, Reliable Solution for Automotive Body Cavity Sealing

In repair shops or CKD assembly facilities, pre-formed acoustic parts can't be fitted into the vehicle cavity because production equipment needed to properly heat the materials isn’t available. SikaBaffle®-277 is a ready-to-use, 2-component polyurethane foam, which cures very quickly at ambient temperature and reliably seals hollow cavities against noise, air, water, and dust.

SikaBaffle®-277 can be used for manual application in vehicle production, as well as for repair and service solutions. Application is easy and safe because the two components are combined within the aerosol dispensing unit which has been specially designed to prevent excessive pressure build-up.
