Sika Automotive announces its participation at the 2016 In-Adhesives Symposium for innovations in adhesives. The event will be held in Munich on February 17-18.  As part of Sika’s involvement with the symposium, Dobrivoje (Bobby) Jovanovic, Global Product Marketing Manager for Body Shop Adhesives & Sealants will be presenting on the topic of “Innovative Bonding Solutions for Multi-material Joining”.

The continuing trend of vehicle lightweighting has seen a rise in multi-material joining applications. Mr. Jovanovic will present innovations in adhesive technologies for use in traditional and non-traditional body shops in automotive plants. Adhesives are key enablers to making vehicle lightweighting possible for different vehicle constructions - joining substrates to varying technical requirements while also directly contributing to sustainability initiatives. “Sika is excited to promote various innovative bonding solutions for multi-material joining on automotive OEM manufacturing lines in 2016" says Greg Moran, Head Global Automotive Marketing for Sika. "We look forward to not only sharing our experience with the industry in the symposium format, but also to continue to seek and solve the challenges faced in these new design environments”.

The 2016 In-Adhesives Symposium brings together technical experts and key stakeholders in the adhesive world across a number of key sectors, including automotive, aerospace, construction, electronics, medical and other industries. The two-day event will be held at the Sheraton Munich Arabellapark Hotel in Munich, Germany.
